Last week, ILead’s Jordan Daniow and Albert Huynh facilitated a session on networking and effective presentations for graduate students from across North America at the NSERC CREATE Program in Clean Combustion Engines and The Combustion Institute. Check out a recap of the event below!

More than 50 graduate students, industry experts, and academic researchers from across Canada and around the world attended the week-long Combustion Institute Summer School program hosted by Professor Murray Thomson. The program was held at the University of Toronto in conjunction with the NSERC CREATE Program in Clean Combustion Engines and The Combustion Institute, from May 30 to June 3.

The purpose of the week-long program was to bring together graduate students from around the world to learn international from top experts in combustion science and design, and to share their own research with others. Topics of particular interest included energy efficiency, air pollutants, and alternative fuels. The program allowed the students to complement their graduate research training with presentations on state of the art of combustion science and industrial design, discussions on new technologies and current research directions, and lectures on public policy and professional skill development.
