ILead is hiring a summer work-study student!

The Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering (ILead) is committed to the advancement of the engineering profession and society through excellence in leadership education, research, and practice. It inspires students, staff, and faculty to develop their leadership potential, to discover their passions, and to connect with others who want to be effective change agents. Throughout the academic year, we provide intentional leadership development programming and curriculum.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director and the Leadership Development Consultant, the Programming Intern will be responsible for supporting the Summer Leadership Program (a 14 week program), Fall Orientation, and various other ILead initiatives. Responsibilities will include public speaking, scheduling and facilitating meetings, event planning, creative problem-solving and data-entry.

A successful candidate has strong interest in leadership education and project management. He/She is punctual, creative, a team player, can work independently, take initiative, is receptive to feedback, and communicates professionally. He/She must be available Friday afternoons. Preference will be given to a skilled student facilitator and a leader who has experience working in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Eligibility

As an undergraduate student, you must be taking at least 1.0 credit (40% of a full course load) continuously from May and August. That means one 0.5 F course between May-June and one 0.5 S course between July-August; or 1 Y course from May to August; as a graduate student, you must be registered in at least 40% of a full course load from May to August.
