ILead is hiring a Communications Assistant work-study student!

ILead is accepting applications for a Communications Assistant work-study student for the 2015-2016 academic year. Under the direction of the Assistant Director and the Program Assistant, the Communications Assistant will be responsible for building awareness and engagement within the U of T Engineering community. He or she will craft culturally-relevant news and impact stories, build our community on social media, capture the magic during events, and other multimedia projects.

Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in writing, relationship building, and marketing-communications. He or she is detail-oriented, strategic, diplomatic, and exudes positivity and enthusiasm. The focus of the work will be developing personal profiles on emerging leaders and stories that capture special events. The ideal candidate will have advanced writing skills, be punctual and reliable, and will strive to represent ILead well with students, staff, guest speakers, etc. Knowledge of engineering student culture, and photography skills are all strong assets. Please submit a writing sample (e.g. news stories, effective tweets, blog posts, etc.) along with your cover letter and resume.

Eligibility

Students must be registered in at least 2.0 credit continuously from September 2015 to April 2016 (at least 40% for graduate students).
