GregsqProfessor Evans is a Professor of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry and a former Vice-Dean Undergraduate and Chair First Year in the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering at the University of Toronto. He is also the founding Director of the Southern Ontario Centre for Atmospheric Aerosol Research (SOCAAR), an interdisciplinary research centre studying the environmental and health impacts of air pollutants. Prof. Evans’s interest in creating a structured leadership development program for engineering students grew from his desire to see engineers take a more proactive role in the many technologically related issues that face society.
