Career Talks: Influence

June 24, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Influence

Thursday, June 24, 12:00 – 1:00 pm EST

As an engineering student you have ideas, the desire to experiment and the drive to undertake projects that interest you, but how do you convince your teammates or supervisors to try out your ideas or support your vision? At this Career Talk we explore the essential skill of Influence, which increases our capacity to lead change no matter what role we play in an organization or on a team.

Get the inside scoop from our panelists on:

  • How to influence from any position;
  • Different styles of influence and ways that you can use your unique strengths to help steer the direction of a project or initiative;
  • How to cultivate the courage to bring your ideas to the table.
  • And, how to influence from a place of true personal integrity, conviction and kindness.

Phil De Luna (MSE PhD 1T9) Green Party of Canada candidate for Toronto-St. Paul’s
