Crash Course on Managing People & Teams

Get quick guidance, approaches, and tools that will build your confidence and effectiveness as a club leader.


Through a short series of workshops, club execs will build their confidence and effectiveness as team leaders in a cohort with other execs. This structured program will provide guidance around approaches, tools, and frameworks that seasoned leaders use to boost results in their teams. At the end, participants will receive an ‘ILead Team Management Certificate – for Leading Teams and Organizations’.

Great For

Upcoming, new, and experienced student club leaders who are pressed for time, but still want to improve their leadership approaches & effectiveness.

Content & Topics

  • Google’s Keys to Successful Teams- with associated tactics and practices: Psychological Safety, Dependability, Structure & Clarity, Meaning & Impact.
  • Different Leadership Styles/Approaches & When to Use Them: Visionary style, one-on-one coaching, building team relationships & morale, building ideas & consensus, setting a high performance pace, directing people in exactly what they need to do.

Time Commitment

Total of 4 hours over 2 sessions, plus roughly 2 hours of additional independent pre and post work. The Spring 2020 cohort will be held June 11 & 18, 5-7PM .
